Verified Merchant Trust Complaint Process
If you need to file a complaint against a member company these are the required steps. If these steps have not been followed and documentation is not provided in that regard, your complaint will not be heard.
1. You must communicate directly with the member company and make every attempt to resolve the problem directly with them. We may require evidence of this communication.
2. Your complaint to us should only be a last resort process as we do not have any method to resolve your complaint other than to attempt to mediate the complaint between you and the member company and as a last resort, upon our own discretion, to remove the member companies registration with our service.
3. Your complaint needs to be based upon a reasonable expectation of commonly accepted services and practices. Complaints that are unreasonable will not be heard. A common complaint might be not receiving a product or service or the member company not honoring a return policy, etc.
4. If we accept your complaint we will make contact with the member company and attempt to resolve it on your behalf. The member company is not under any obligation to resolve the complaint with us. If the complaint is resolved then it will be dismissed. If it is not resolved we will place the complaint on the member companies record which will be made available for public view.
Your complaint to us must contain:
Your name, email address, physical address and telephone.
Name of the company and web address you are filing the complaint against.
The order number or the service you are complaining about.
The reason for your complaint.
The steps you have taken to resolve the complaint and the person you have spoken with about the complaint at the member company, as well as their response.
An explanation as to how you believe the complaint should be resolved.
Gather all your information together as specified above and put it in a file such as a word or text document. Use the form below to submit the document to us. It must have a file extension of .doc, .txt or .zip
